We treat individuals with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma disorders and PTSD, Borderline Personality Disorder, Schizophrenia and Schizoaffective Disorder, and most substance use disorders.
We cannot provide withdrawal management or medical detox services. Therefore, individuals in acute withdrawal are not the best fit for our program. Individuals with Schizophrenia and Schizoaffective Disorder in need of acute hospitalization would also be better served in a hospital environment. We can work with individuals with all of these concerns after emergency needs have been addressed.
Adults, ages 18 and older.
Our program is considered to be no longer than 30 days. Some patients may stay with us up to 90 days, as our program is not intended to provide permanent housing.
If a substance use disorder is your only concern, and/or you are in need of medical detox, we can refer you to our sister facility, Quest 2 Recovery, which provides detoxification and residential treatment services.
We work with most major, commercial insurance plans. We are unable to accept Medicaid or Medicare at this time. Please contact our Admissions Team at 833-783-7888 for more information.
We are located in the beautiful Antelope Valley, in Southern California. The valley spreads from northern Los Angeles county, east through the Mojave desert.
While there are many benefits to family involvement, we also understand that family dynamics can be complicated, and are not always in the best interest of the patient. Family involvement is always done with the consent of the patient.
You will be offered the opportunity to connect with a psychiatrist throughout your stay. Your psychiatrist can help you understand various risks and benefits of medications, different medication options, and non-pharmaceutical interventions. As our program is entirely voluntary, you will never be forced to take medications.
No, Quest Behavioral Health is not a hospita, as we are a residential treatment facility. The facility is designed to look and feel very much like a home. Most of our patients stay here for 30-90 days. Family members are allowed to visit, and we offer several options to help involve family in care as needed. The treatment program at Quest Behavioral Health is completely voluntary; no one is kept against their will.
Outpatient treatment takes place in an office clinic, via telehealth, or other setting that doesn’t involve overnight stays. This is like visiting a doctor’s office, seeing a therapist, or attending a support group. Inpatient care does involve overnight stays. There are various levels of inpatient care. The most acute type of inpatient care is hospitalization, which is often done on an emergency basis and for a short period of time. In residential treatment, patients stay at the facility 30-90 days, but also have more freedom and flexibility.
The short answer- yes! Research indicates that residential treatment facilities support a significant reduction in symptoms, increase patients’ ability to live independently, increase school enrollment and gainful employment, and reduce subsequent frequency of hospitalizations. We also know from the literature that not all residential programs are created equal, and have differing outcomes.
